If you have looked at the prices and thought it was quite cheap, this post will outline how this was possible.
It is important to me that no-one is excluded from this opportunity to be part of my deaf awareness training, particularly if making more people deaf aware is an important part of my philosophy.
But it will mean that certain arrangements have been made to make sure that we can cut out any unnecessary costs where possible.
And that means any savings that I make will go straight to you.
1. Working From Home
Many companies like to boast about their in-office gyms, games room, snooker tables, office dogs, company-branded cars, etc.
But they all come at a cost, and it’s the customers that will pay for it, not the company.
For me, I work from my humble home office (which you will be able to see in many of videos) and I’ve got everything that I need here.
Sure, it’s tempting to hire out a room in the centre of Edinburgh, create a hi-tech studio with lots of 4k screens around me, Bose surround speakers, purchase a new iPad every time a new one is comes out, wear a new suit every few months and plaster my company logo on my car.
But how is any of that going to benefit you?
It won’t, so because I limit my business expenses where possible, you get to benefit from that too.
2. Experience Makes Thing More Smoother
When you know what you are doing, it comes natural for you.
It is only because of my 30+ deaf experience and going through various aspects of my life that I was able to share my stories and share advice on how to manage certain situations.
And combine that with my speaking experience, it has helped me to get the job done to the standard that I expect of mysef.
It doesn’t mean that it is easier to do the job. But it does mean that the process of getting the job done is a lot smoother and I don’t have to spend extra time in preparing and carrying out the necessary tasks.
3. First-Class Travel & Accommodation is Not Required
Depending on where you are based, there may be travel and accommodation that is required in order for me to attend your premises.
But don’t worry, I don’t need to stay at the Ritz nor do I need first-class travel with my own chef on-board the train.
A comfortable and well-located hotel plus reliable public transports are all that are required.
4. In-House Training Means No Venue Hire Cost
To make things even more convenient for you, we can have the training at your own company (provided that the room size is adequate and there is a big screen and projector included).
This means there is no need to hire a room out, and that saving goes to you.
However, if there is a need to hire a room, we can discuss our options.
Likewise, if you would rather come to Edinburgh, we can discuss the arrangement of a room.
5. Food & Drinks (Unless Required) Are Not Covered
If you are requesting a half-day training, it is unlikely that you will need anything.
For a full-day, it is recommended that everyone will bring their own lunch if the training will be held at your company.
However, much like the room rental option, if you prefer to attend the training in Edinburgh for the full-day, we can also discuss the option of providing catering for you and your attendees.
6. Flexibility to Adjust Pricing
Everything that we have mentioned above can be adjusted and this can have an impact on your cost.
So if there are no travelling, accommodation, room hire or food required, this will naturally lower the cost.
It’s not always possible to lower all costs to the bare minimum (nor will it necessarily benefit you in the long-term as it can sacrifice the entire experience), but the flexibility opportunity is useful.
Hopefully, this will page will convince you that this not just a cheap form of training.
